Today has special meaning for me. My son Tecopa is running for City Council in Buhl. We raise our kids and never know what the future for them may be, I must say I am bursting with pride as we wait for the votes to come in. Win or lose …

Hawk Bow Challenge..
August 19, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
Every once in a while I get to thinking! Usually when this happens there is a flash of conscious thought accompanied by a blank stare then it is over, and I resume my normal activities. This time however, I had a real brainstorm.. Bob Red Hawk has been helping to put bows in the hands of youth for years. I feel it is my turn to try and do my part for those who might never get the opportunity otherwise… What if every archer in the U.S.A. heard my idea and joined in? What if every kid, grandma, daughter, son, uncle, brother, aunt or sister had the opportunity to learn archery from someone who already lives for the sport? So hear goes, if you have a bow you aren’t using.. Or if you have the means to get a bow for someone else and give it to them, teach them to properly use it and take a picture of that person enjoying the sport.. Then you can join in… I challenge every archer out there to do just that, and take a picture, send it to me at woodrestore@nemont.net and I will choose a winning picture and accompanying caption.. The winner will receive four custom built primitive hunting arrows signed by yours truly. Let everyone know about this challenge and lets make this one of those family fun competitions that puts a smile on your face, and a bow in someone’s hand who would otherwise never have tried it.
Thanks brothers and sisters of the bow.. Let the Hawk Bow Challenge begin..
